PANEL ONE EXT. SYDNEY SKYLINE NIGHT
A nice large panel
showing a futuristic Sydney, with one of the citys grand landmarks (Harbour Bridge, Opera House, etc) standing out.
PANEL TWO EXT. OXFORD ST SAME
In the foreground is Bruce,
our protagonist. A sturdy, well-built man in his early 20s. He sports a 3 day growth and has a look of contempt on his face.
In the background is the busy, wild and essentially screwed up Oxford St nightlife, drag queens and all. (Given its 50+ years
in the future, I presume things are even more fucked up than they already are).
KID (OP): HEY MISTAH!
Close on Bruces face. He is looking OP towards
the direction of the little runts voice.
The homeless kid is slouched against a wall with
his hand out, begging for charity. He is poorly clothed, but his face and hands show no signs of dirt or wear.
Similar shot but wider. Bruce is now in frame,
kneeling down in front of the kid, looking curious.
BRUCE: WHAT IS IT I CAN DO FOR YOU SON?
KID: HOW A BOUT
GIVEN ME A BIT OF MONEY?
BRUCE: IM A BIT STRETCHED AT THE MOMENT KID. ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO?
Close on the kids face. He is pissed off now.
KID: YEAH THERE IS SOMETHING YOU CAN DO FOR ME.
Profile shot. The kid quickly pulls out a Neuro
Stick. It is a fairly small, metallic stick that is glowing in its heightened state of readiness.
Shot from the side. The cheeky bastard hits Bruce
with the Neuro Stick sending him into a state of shock. A bunch of onlookers witness the event, some stunned, some amused.
KID: TAKE THAT YA BASTARD!!
Bruces pov. He is stunned, on the ground and
looking up at the kid and a bunch on onlookers. His vision is blurred.
